A comprehensive presentation of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) for both acquisition and support of DoD systems. The presentation includes detailed discussions of all logistics technical disciplines as they flow through acquisition. The Logistics Support Analysis process is used as the vehicle to implement ILS across all program phases and information generated by the LSA process is then gathered in a Logistics Support Analysis Record for use in determining the final physical logistics support package for the system. Specific emphasis is placed on supportability engineering as a part of the systems engineering process to design. Life cycle costing is also included as a part of the decision-making process of ILS.
