Provides Acquisition and Sustainment Logisticians with the theory and background to know and understand the application of concepts, principles and processes of reliability and supportability during the different life cycle phases of a product. The course starts with identification of specific user requirements that form the basis for all acquisition and in-service support activities. The course then moves on to the systems architecting and systems engineering activities where the reliability and supportability requirements are incorporated into the overall system requirements. Then a detailed discussion is provided of how the requirements for reliability and supportability are designed into a system. The course culminates with test, evaluation, assessment and verification of the system design meeting its reliability and supportability goals, thresholds and constraints.
