Prerequisite
Recommended knowledge prior to taking this course:
- CCNP and or CCIE Routing & Switching, or equivalent knowledge
- Designing for Cisco Internetwork Solutions (DESGN)
Audience
The primary audience for this course are Channel Partners/Resellers, Customer, and Employee.
This 5-day course enables students to create Data Center network designs that optimize availability, scalability, performance, and security, using the Nexus Products, Catalyst 6500, Catalyst 4948, Firewall Services Module, Intrusion Detection Services Module, and Network Analysis Module.

- Module 7: Monitoring the Data Center Network
After completing DCNID (2.0) the student should be able to:
- Create a Data Center network design that optimizes availability, scalability, and performance for that environment.
- Create a core layer design that optimizes data flows.
- Create an aggregation layer design that optimizes data flows.
- Create an access layer design that optimizes data flows.
- Optimize a data center design to achieve high availability.
- Design a security implementation using Catalyst 6500 service modules.
- Design a management infrastructure that provides centralized management services.
